Sean Russo

Founder and Managing Director

Sean is actively involved at Noah's Rule providing strategic Risk Advisory services to CEO's, Company Boards and Senior Management with significant financial market and commodity market risks. He is a passionate advocate for companies developing a high degree of risk awareness and of the possibilities to harness market risk and not simply be a price taker, riding the cycle for good or bad.

Prior to forming Noah's Rule Pty Ltd in August 2004, Sean was the Managing Director of Treasury and a member of the Executive Committee of NM Rothschild and Sons (Australia) Limited. In over twenty years with the Rothschild Group, Sean gained extensive experience in the international bullion and financial markets working in their offices in Perth, Sydney, London and Singapore, in roles covering trading, sales and management.

In all his positions Sean has taken a very active interest in the delivery of responsible and innovative 'needs based solutions' to producer, consumer and Central Bank clients.

Steve White

Director (Sydney)

Steve joined Noah's Rule at the beginning in 2008 as a Director. His experience in the Foreign Exchange and Metals Markets as a trader enhances the existing expertise that the Noah's Rule already offers its customers. Steve is actively involved working with Managing Directors and Chief Financial Officers in developing the strategies and solutions to their company's Financial Markets Risks, ensuring the management of these risks are within corporate strategy while enhancing any potential upside.

Steve has over 20 years market experience working for HSBC in Tokyo as the Chief Dealer in Foreign Exchange, Barclays PLC and Rothschild Australia as a Foreign Exchange and Metals Trader. Most recently Steve spent two years as the General Manager of a large privately owned company, which provided intimate understanding of the commercial pressures associated with the management of a company and associated cash flows, while managing related commercial risks appropriately.

Steve's extensive market experience combined with his understanding of senior management in the corporate space enables him to combine those insights to assist in developing client driven market risk solutions that mitigate risks while allowing management to concentrate on areas that are within their control.

Steve earned a Master of Management from MGSM, Graduate Diploma of Management (Finance) from MGSM and a Diploma of Financial Planning from Deakin University.

Scott Hill

Director (Perth)

Scott has over twenty years of domestic and international management experience across both the private and public sectors in the precious metals, commodities, oil and gas and financial services industries. Functional areas of particular focus include international trade, treasury, credit assessment, financial systems and risk management.

He has held senior positions with Golden West Refining Group, Australian Gold Refineries (Perth Mint) and Woodside Energy where he was the Group Financial Risk Manager, directly responsible to the Board for all aspects of operational and strategic hedging and for the oversight of compliance audits and external reviews. Recent consulting roles have included the selection and implementation of a treasury system for a large Australian corporate, review of financial systems for a large international mining conglomerate, strategic reviews of metal systems for an overseas smelter and numerous advisory roles in respect of derivative valuations and the treatment of hedges under the new Australian (AASB) & International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

Scott holds an undergraduate degree in science and post graduate qualifications in physics and corporate finance.

David Stevens

Director (Sydney)

David Stevens joined Noah's Rule as a Director in February 2010 to continue and maintain our goal of providing first class strategic risk advice to our growing corporate client base. David has a breadth and depth of experience in the Metals, Foreign Exchange and Interest Rate Markets gleaned from appointments across many geographies over more than 20 years in the Financial Markets, working in Sydney, Chicago, London, Dusseldorf and Singapore. During these years, the roles have included Senior Manager Metals Trading at NM Rothschild, Global Head of Metals Trading at WestLB London and Investec London, whilst more latterly in Singapore with Standard Chartered and Morgan Stanley.

David has always overlaid a sales and marketing role in all his assignments and as such is strongly client service oriented. David's broad experience is an important addition to the Noah's Rule team providing advice and execution services to clients with project finance and hedging requirements. David will concentrate on active short term cash flow management such as Quotation Period and short term hedging and execution strategies, each of which are vitally important in balance sheet management and cash flow stability. David's vast market experience places him in an ideal situation to achieve these aims for Noah's clients and their collective long term benefit.
